Administration Joomla! 4.x • Re: SMTP error with log for troubleshooting- please help...

I did follow those instructions and also created an app password in the google admin console. By the way, for those viewing this the direct link to get there is: https://myaccount.google.com/apppasswords

Settings are smtp.google.com, 465, SSL/TLS and the from, reply to, and SMTP username are all the same full email address.

Also tried sending with the alternate port numbers and using STARTTLS as shown in the guide.

I am certain that the password is entered correctly (without the spaces) and as long as the username would be the full email address of the account then that is correct too. I recreated the app password and did this all again. Got the same basic error messages in the log:
